5. Glocester Land Trust Meeting (Feb-28)
a) Feedback from Land Trust member is still unclear of differences between single and double track. Most concerned with erosion. Opportunities to revisit GLT if we want to push this agenda

a) Attended by: Adam, Cyndi , Wayne, Shannon, Dennis, Tabitha, Mark

7. NEMBA Board of Directors Meeting (Mar-26)

8. EMPTY Nip Bottle Collection by Friends of the Saugatucket (Ends Mar-27)
a) Drop off complete – Thanks to Alan, Keith and everyone who participated. Estimated 600 bottles collected.
9. Teach MTB Skills to Women this Season (Saturday April 8)
a) Teach women leaders how to teach mountain bike skills

10. Diamond Hill trail maintenance day (Saturday April 15)
a) Ice cream machine side of Diamon Hill

11. Earth Day Activities (Saturday April-22)
a) Locations
1. Midway parking area (DEM Permit approved). Another good Samaritan has already cleaned the lot – remove from list.
2. Big River (Covered under WGCC special use permit)
3. Riverpoint Park (Need to contact West Warwick city)
4. Merino Park - Colin and Donny Green working with the city to coordinate. City of Providence will place a dumpster on site.
b) Donation to WGCC $250 approved Feb 2023 meeting – check sent
c) Westerly Land Trust
1. WLT scheduling clean-up at several their properties.
2. Meeting at 11:30 am at 14 Canal Street Westerly, then dispersing to various properties. Scheduled less than 2 hrs for clean-up activities
12. Foundation skills clinic (April 29 & 30)
a) Partnership with Remy’s
b) Woody Hill – on WLT property, XC up/down, Driving Miss Hazy
c) Donation from NEMBA - $300 to be approved and sent
d) 12 registered, 8 open places
13. Trail School (May 6-7)
a) Course layout
1. Virtual work ahead of the event
2. Friday - Leader arrive and scout trails
3. Saturday – Classes all day
4. Sunday – Classes all morning
5. Expecting 10 Leaders, 40 participants
b) 51 registered, 0 places left
c) 20 camp sites in Burlingame reserved, DEM absorbing fees, no cost to participants
d) 6 positions reserved for DEM, cost covered by NEMBA – sent to Paula, several already signed up – Is everyone registered
e) 2 positions reserved for WLT, costs covered by RINEMBA $300 – are they registered
f) RINEMBA sponsorship for members, $150 each?? – Adam and Cyndi registered – anyone else?
g) RINEMBA leader representation
h) Add adaptive multi-use trails to program
i) Useful to have political/economic implication session
14. Woody Hill Fun Ride (July 9)
a) Start thinking about route planning
b) DEM permit needs submitting with routes selected
15. Regularly Scheduled Group Rides
a) Daylight savings starts Sunday March 12
b) Diamond Hill - non permitted daylight rides until interest generated
c) Lincoln Woods - non permitted daylight rides until interest generated
d) Woody Hill - add Wednesday nights at Woody Hill starting March 15th at 5:30
e) Land manager permits needed for group sizes 10 or more
16. Trailforks
a) With Glenn’s departure, leaves RI under-represented - Jenna Ducharme interested
b) Close Carolina stream crossing on Trail forks
c) Identify adaptive trails in RI on Trail Forks – Can simple trail mods expand the number of trails?
17. DEM:
a) Night riding agreement ends April 30
b) Waivers. Collect DEM-specific waivers; give to Mark.
c) Night Ride leaders – need more
d) Night riding pilot. 2022/2023 season ends April 30. DEM planning to do one more pilot 2023/2024 and then approach changing their regulations to make it permanent
e) Snow grooming – Park for next winter
f) Management planning project underway in Big River. Trail cameras installed. NEMBA will be consulted for input.
