DEM – Trail maintenance

Explore establishing a trail maintenance MOU.

DEM – Echo Lake

New property DEM has purchased.

Originally planned to develop into a camp site – cost prohibitive.

Interested in developing a professionally built trail network, working with RINEMBA and AMC

Location is not far from Sprague Farm (~ 5 miles)

Need to follow up with DEM to arrange a site visit

Tentative property walk on 8/3

DEM – Wildlife Management Areas 101 – August 21 6:30-7:30pm

Designed so users of those areas can understand these locations better

Free, but registration required.

Rhody Rovers

June 9 fun ride – Pre and post rides completed. Trails in really good shape

Big River – July 21 – 150 rider race

Need volunteers to pre-ride the trails in areas of concern Saturday July 13 9 am. Route is the same as the June fun ride.

Arcadia - August 24 – 75 rider fun ride. They will be clearing trails for the event and are willing to help us with any deadfalls blocking trails.

Aim for hunting free gap in Spring, collab with NEYC and AMC as well (Mark will share AMC contact info)

BOD Meeting - next meeting is July 15th, 8 PM via zoom!

Quarterly Donation Transfers - will begin transferring money to chapters starting next week for donations received and designated for your chapter 2024 Q2: $195

Quarterly Member Rebate Transfers - will begin transferring money to your chapters starting next week for the membership revenue share due to your chapter (ie 30% of primary and add-on membership revenue) for 2024 Q2: $1328

Lapsed members – 9 people

eMTB working group committee – relaunching to discuss policy and advocacy.

Photo requests – looking for 2 photos showing a diversity of people, events, trail work, riding, scenery, etc.

Arcadia Bridge Build

Leftover wood from old bridge available for re-purposing. At Alan’s property.

Glocester Land Trust Meeting

Glocester Land Trust approved a motion to move forward on a partnership with RINEMBA to build a professionally designed mountain bike trail in Sprague Farm

We need to contact professional trail builders and create a first steps action plan:

Need $12k for plan, all from our Chapter treasury

Group agreed to use Woody Hill and Burlingame proceeds to build a fund for this.

Pinnacle Trail Builders is who Dennis has been talking to

Mike Leblanc as a backup (of Mike’s Trail fame)

NEMBA trail grant did not come through, went to other chapters

Explore MOU with GLT, bring in Chris D’Ovidio for guidance

Cumberland Town pump track

Construction complete, permit still needs to be closed out before being open to the public. Should be soon.

NEMBA contribution $1000 approved, $300 remaining for concrete base.

Bike stand with Charles, he’s going to install with Willem
