Join us for the third installment of the Browning Mill Pond Bridge Project and build out some boardwalk on the western side of the pond using lumber donated by the State of RI. We have been working beside the State of RI Department of Environmental Management (DEM) on this project all year. Collaborative work like this shows the state that mountain bikers are responsible and caring members of the outdoor community. A few hours of work here go a LONG way into getting other programs approved such as trail maintenance, night riding, and snow grooming.
We'll be working in the hatchery area which can be accessed by driving down the dirt road behind 1 Summit Rd, Richmond, RI 02832. If you see Alan’s bright red truck you’ll know you are in the right place.
We’ll be out there all weekend, but if you are limited a few hours, early on Saturday to help haul materials out to the site would be the best way to help.
If you would like to bring tools we could use a few impact drivers, one or two skill saws, and a drill or two, of course all with your own charged batteries. A wheelbarrow or trail wagon to haul materials doesn’t hurt either.
We ask that all volunteers sign up via our Volunteer Portal and sign the liability waiver here: Sign Up
See you out there!
